New Zealand international Katie Kitching has scored for her Sunderland club with a direct free kick from outside the penalty area to help her side to a 3-3 draw with Charlton Athletic.
Kitching’s goal opened the scoring against the England FA Women’s Championship leaders.
She saw Charlton goalkeeper Jessica Gray had taken a position covering her far post, and she struck her shot into the roof of the net, just inside the near post.
The result leaves Sunderland in 8th place in the 11-club competition.
