Auckland clubs looking for leader for their women’s and girl’s programmes

Auckland clubs East Coast Bays and Hibiscus Coast are recruiting for a director of women’s and girl’s football to lead programmes at both clubs.

The successful applicant will also be head coach of Hibiscus Coast’s team in the Lotto NRFL Women’s Premiership.

Premiership coach Asher Trotter recently left his role at Hibiscus Coast.

Between them, the clubs have more than 2,700 players.

In their description of the role, the clubs say the appointee will be responsible for NZ Football-accredited skill development and talent development programmes.

“Working with club boards, directors of football and a broad team of developing coaches, this is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to develop and deliver a clear vision that combines high profile and high impact,” the advertisement for the role says.

“This role will deliver a combination of club-specific and club-collaborative projects as part of a cohesive pathway servicing the membership and development needs for women’s and girls’ football players at ECBAFC and HBCAFC.”

These projects include:

  • Head coach of Hibiscus Coast’s Lotto NRFL Women’s Premiership side.
  • Youth girls Talent Development Programme lead for both clubs.
  • Girls’ pre-Talent Development Programme lead for both clubs.
  • Development lead for both clubs’ girls junior pathway, including NZF Fantails, NZF Skill Centres and club junior football programmes.
  • Region-wide girl’s school and holiday programmes.
