In Canterbury’s English Cup, Western will join Christchurch United and Coastal Spirit in the semi-finals after they beat Oxford 5-2 in the quarter final at English Park.
The fourth quarter final is still to be scheduled between Cashmere Technical and Nomads United.
In the Lotto NRFL Men’s Championship, Hibiscus Coast backed up their Chatham Cup form with a 1-0 win at Onehunga Mangere United, to move into a congested midtable group.
Cameron Martin scored the winner in stoppage time.
