Birkenhead United forward Curtis Hughes is off to trial with Scottish Premiership club Kilmarnock.
Hughes (19) became a first-team regular late in this year’s Northern League season after progressing from the club’s U-23 squad.
The former Greenhithe FC player follows in the footsteps of another Birkenhead United forward, Alex Greive, whose trial with St Mirren in 2022 led to a professional contract and selection for the All Whites.
