South Auckland Rangers president Shiu Singh said: “We encourage everyone to come to the planned open training and support the Malaysian team and be part of what will be a very special occasion.

“This is a first for South Auckland Rangers and we are truly honoured to support NZ Football.

“I’ll be watching the game but half of me will cheer on the All Whites with the other half cheering on our guests!”

Rangers acknowledged the support of Scott Malcolm and Jasmine Welch at Auckland Council to help maintain their Ormiston grounds during the winter season, and produce pitches of a standard suitable for an international team.
