Music industry turns to football to boost fundraising for wellbeing programme

New Zealand’s music industry will host a 7-a-side football tournament to help raise funds for programmes to support their wellbeing service, benevolent fund and legacy programme.

The inaugural tournament will be staged at Auckland’s Go Media Stadium, Mt Smart, from 2pm on Friday September 27, 2024.

The event is open to anyone in the music industry, regardless of whether they have played football before.

All teams are guaranteed four games during the day, while DJ Bobby Brazuka will keep players and spectators entertained with music.

A silent auction and profits from the day will help support the MusicHelps programmes.

Teams can use a maximum of 12 players, and must have at least two non-male players on the field at any team, not including the goalkeeper.

Team entry costs are $400 (‘just a bunch of mates’), $600 (‘companies got this one’), $800 (‘high rollers’) or you can simply make a donation at the registration page.
