Football Ferns Rosie Ah Wong, Maia Jackman and Paige Satchell will be among the guest speakers at the NRF Wāhine in Football event on Friday August 30.
Northern Region Football will host the celebration of the women’s game at Go Media Stadium, Mt Smart, at 7pm.
The event has proven to be popular, with registrations quickly reaching full capacity on a first come, first served basis., and having been closed.
The event will be compared by Ashlee Tulloch, who was the Eden Park Stadium presenter for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Other speakers will be Auckland FC’s director of football, Terry McFlynn, Auckland FC investor Anna Mowbray and Northern Region Football chief executive Laura Menzies.
“It’s a special evening of networking and korero for women in football and allies of the women’s game,” NRF says.
“It’s a chance to celebrate the amazing and inspiring football women who went before and hear NRF’s plans to drive equity and inclusiveness in our game.”
