Pre-season update: How Auckland FC have fared in their five friendlies

Four players have been sharing the pre-season goalscoring for new A-League club Auckland FC.

The fledgling team have scored nine goals in their five pre-season friendlies against two Northern League clubs and three of their A-League rivals.

Four players have scored two goals each — All Whites Logan Rogerson and Max Mata, and age group internationals Liam Gillion and Luis Toomey.

The ninth goal was an own goal conceded by Newcastle Jets.

The Steve Corica-coached Auckland FC have won one of their five games, drawing three and losing once.

The season proper starts on Saturday October 19 when Auckland FC host Brisbane Roar at Go Media Stadium, Mt Smart.
