New Zealand to face New Caledonia for berth at FIFA U-17 Men’s World Cup

New Zealand will play New Caledonia on Thursday with the winner booking a spot at next year’s FIFA U-17 Men’s World Cup in Qatar.

The sides will meet in the semi-final of the OFC U-16 Men’s Championship in Tahiti, a tournament in which the top three sides will gain automatic qualification to represent Oceania at the U-17 World Cup.

The other semi-final will pitch hosts Tahiti against Fiji.

The semi-finalists were confirmed when final games were played in Group B on Monday (NZT).
