Go Media Stadium to be home ground for Auckland FC for at least five years

Auckland’s Go Media Stadium will be the home ground for Auckland FC’s A-League fixtures for at least the next five years.

The club has signed a long-term agreement with Auckland Stadiums, a division of Tätaki Auckland Unlimited, to play their home games at the Mt Smart venue.

Auckland FC’s training and administrative headquarters will be at North Harbour Stadium, Albany.

The Mt Smart stadium, in Penrose, will continue to be known as Go Media Stadium after a new deal was struck between Auckland Stadiums and outdoor advertising company Go Media.

Tātaki Auckland Unlimited stadiums director James Parkinson said: “Go Media Stadium is an iconic Auckland venue that has proven its credentials as a mid-sized stadium with a great atmosphere time and again.

“The One NZ Warriors have been the cornerstone of our sporting content over the last thirty years with our rich sporting history also featuring All Blacks, Black Ferns, Kiwis, and All Whites international matches.

“We are thrilled to welcome Auckland FC and look forward to football fans from all over New Zealand joining us at Go Media Stadium over the next five years.

“Auckland FC will write their own history into our sporting tapestry, and we look forward to being a part of the journey.”

Auckland FC is expected to play its first men’s A-League fixture on October 19, 2024.

The club will launch its women’s team for the 2025-26 Liberty A-League season.
