WATCH: New Zealand striker Riley Bidois finds net in USL Championship

Tauranga-born forward Riley Bidois has earned his Loudon United club a 2-2 draw with a header against Miami FC in the USL Championship.

Bidois (22) rose above the Miami defence to steer his head into the top of the net to level the scores in the match in the second tier of United States professional football.

Bidois (22) joined the American second-tier club in February 2024 on a two-year contract.

Bidois, who emerged as a talented youth player with Tauranga City, came to prominence in 2023 when he scored five goals for the national U-23 team in their 9-0 win against Fiji, securing a spot for New Zealand at the Paris Olympics.

In 2019, Bidois left the Bay of Plenty for Wellington where he played for Central League club Lower Hutt City, and then the Phoenix reserves.

Bidois joined Loudoun United after a spell with Australia’s Dandenong City who play in Victoria Premier League 2.
