Samoa claim last place at OFC U-16 Women’s Championship with two big wins

The eight participating teams have been finalised for the 2024 OFC U-16 Women’s Championship, with the qualification of Samoa.

Samoa secured the last place at September’s tournament in Fiji, winning a three-team qualifying series against Papua New Guinea and American Samoa.

They beat both their rivals 11-0 at Auckland’s Ngahue Reserve.

The tournament will be held in Fiji from September 8-21, 2024.

The finalists at the Championship tournament will represent Oceania at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2025.
