English Premier League club Bournemouth have signed young goalkeeper Alex Paulsen after his outstanding men’s A-League season for the Wellington Phoenix.
Eleven clean sheets, three penalty saves and a string of outstanding saves brought Paulsen (21) to the attention of clubs, including Liverpool and Chelsea before Bournemouth won the race for his signature.
Paulsen has completed a move to England for an undisclosed transfer fee that the Phoenix say is a club record.
