WATCH: Bournemouth fan channel learns about transfer target Alex Paulsen

The Bournemouth fan channel Back of the Net has interviewed a New Zealand-based guest who is well-placed to judge how Wellington Phoenix goalkeeper Alex Paulsen might fit in if signed by the English Premier League club.

Sean Barker, a Bournemouth fan who founded the Back of the Net podcast, has lived in Wellington for 10 years and supports the Phoenix. He’s also a former goalkeeper who was part of Bournemouth’s youth academy.

Guesting on the YouTube version of the show, Barker says Paulsen is “a modern goalkeeper” and shares his observations of the young goalkeeper currently at the centre of transfer speculation.

Reports suggest Paulsen is on the brink of signing a three-year deal with Bournemouth after interest from EPL rivals Liverpool and Chelsea.

A UK Sky Sports report says the initial fee on the table is £850,000 (NZ$1.77 million), which could rise to about £2 million (NZ$4.76 million).
