WATCH: Yellow Fever to lead supporters march to stadium ahead of semi-final

Wellington Phoenix supporters group Yellow Fever will lead a march to Sky Stadium ahead of their team’s crucial A-League semi-final against Melbourne Victory on Saturday.

The group invites Phoenix fans to join them in a mass show of support as they march from the Old Bailey pub in Lambton Quay to Sky Stadium, leaving at 5.30pm.

The 1km walk should take about quarter of an hour, getting the group to the stadium ahead of the 6.30pm kick-off.

Members of Yellow Fever appeared on TVNZ’s Breakfast show, sharing their plans to get behind the team as they strive to reach their first grand final in the club’s 17-year history.

Key stadium information

If you’re going to Sky Stadium, here’s essential information from club and stadium:

  • Get there early.
  • Car parking at the stadium has sold out. If you’ve got car parking pre-booked, the car park opens at 12pm.
  • Gates will open two hours before kick-off (at 4.30pm).

  • The Yellow Fever are meeting at The Old Bailey pub in Lampton Quay before the game. All fans are welcome.
  • After the Phoenix match, the Old Bailey will screen the second semi-final between Sydney and the Mariners, from 9.45pm.
  • The Phoenix have hinted there’ll be fantastic giveaways to enhance the fun, especially for those who get there early.

Plans for the grand final

If the Mariners win through against Sydney, they will host the 2024 Isuzu UTE A-League grand final at Gosford at 9.45pm (NZT) against either Wellington Phoenix or Melbourne Victory.

Should Wellington Phoenix win through to their first-ever grand final — and the Mariners lose – they will host the showpiece event at Sky Stadium, with an 8pm (NZT) start.

The third possible scenario for the grand final is Melbourne Victory hosting Sydney which would take place at AAMI Park, Melbourne with kick off of 9.45pm (NZT).

Tickets for the grand final will go on sale at 11am (NZT) on Monday May 20 for home and away club members, followed by the general public on sale at 1pm (NZT) on Tuesday May 21 via www.ticketek.com.au.

Club home and away members will also have access to a 10% discount for a 24 hour window from when tickets first go on sale at 11am (NZT) on Monday May 20.

The grand final will be telecast in Australia live on Network 10 and streamed exclusively on 10 Play and Paramount+, while New Zealand viewers will be able to watch the match live on Sky Sport.
